Your go to Osteopath in Mississauga. Christiaan is a certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner in Ontario and a professional member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA) and Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN). Christiaan attended Western University where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts, Kinesiology degree. He then went on to complete a four-year master’s diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario.
Christiaan believes in the body’s innate ability to self-heal and self-regulate. He follows the principle that imbalances in the human structure, contribute to, or are directly related to the development and/or maintenance of disease. Through treatment, Christiaan emphasizes the relationship between the structure and function of the human body, and how everything interconnected. The pain you feel in your shoulder or hip, may not be coming from your shoulder or hip.
Using various principle-based manual techniques, Christiaan focuses on facilitating the health of joints and muscles through adjustment, helping to strengthen the framework of the body. Understanding and adjusting the anatomical unity of the human structure to restore proper body mechanics, nerve impulses, and blood supply is his goal.
Beatrice Jack is a certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner in Ontario, and a professional member in good standing of the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA) and Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN). She holds a Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc) from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO).
Beatrice’s journey into classical osteopathy was ignited by her own transformative encounter with its profound healing benefits. Her personal experiences, along with many other clinical successes fuels her to share osteopathy whenever the opportunity presents. With curiosity, awe and deep respect, Beatrice delves into the intricacies of human anatomy and physiology, interrelated structure and function, along with the mechanics affected. Her commitment extends beyond mere symptom alleviation, aiming to understand and address the underlying cause of health issues and how they may be connected or affected.
Beatrice believes that optimal osteopathic care should be tailored to your unique circumstances and needs. Our bodies are constantly changing, so it’s logical that treatment should be dynamic and fluid, providing just what our body needs. Beatrice utilizes osteopathic principles to address restrictions and restore structural balance and movement throughout the whole body. This allows the “four rivers of life” – our nerves, veins, arteries, and lymphatics to flow more freely and the body’s self-healing and self-regulating mechanisms to facilitate repair, restoration and ultimately resolution of the original issue you sought treatment for, and likely others detected during the visit – the goal being overall longer-term optimal health.
Prior to embarking on this career, sports, coaching, and mentorship were significant aspects of my life, each profoundly impacting different facets of my current work. Sports provided me with the foundation to understand and appreciate how the body works, while coaching equipped me with the tools to pass on and share knowledge. Lastly, mentorship taught me the value of building relationships, which has become a cornerstone of my practice rooted in communication.
My work is guided by the belief that wellness is woven from physical vitality, mental harmony, and emotional serenity. In other words, a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. I view each massage as a catalyst for this balance and a bridge between the two. With communication, empathy, and curiosity as the pillars of my practice, I have been humbly given the opportunity to hone my craft for over 10 years and share my passion with patients along their healing journey.
No two treatments are the same. I strive to thoroughly understand the patients’ goals and needs, meeting them where they are on the spectrum of health. Whether it’s addressing a nagging pain, a sports injury, or general maintenance, a massage therapist is equipped to help. We gather insights through health histories and assessments, combined with our clinical expertise, to artfully create an effective and efficient treatment plan with you. It is a genuine partnership between patient and practitioner that yields the best and most lasting outcomes.
